Prototype gaps and follow-on capture

Problem

The prototype proved the basic edit-preview loop works, but exposed several gaps: profiler/inspector panels had no stable rendering path in the extension, MCP tool integration with Copilot was untested, and error recovery required extension restarts. These gaps were scattered across Slack threads and ad-hoc notes with no single inventory. Without a consolidated gap analysis, the team risked entering the pilot milestone without knowing which issues would block analysts and which were cosmetic.
